This leather has a tight, fine grain and feels firm to the touch, it is not soft leather but firm leather, offering excellent durability. The 2mm thickness is not ideal for thin items but works well for projects requiring stiffness or shaping.

Available for leather ≤40cm wide and ≥0.8mm thick. Please note that all skived items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Features:
--This is a vegetable tanned cowhide suitable for tooling, carving,embossing and wet moulding.
--Vegetable tanned, penetratively dyed and stuffed with waxes that make it weather resistant(Better than natural veg tan leather).
--Full grain. The grain remains allowing the fiber strength and durability,and retaining the natural property a veg tan leather such as good water absorbing.IT can be soaked and wet formed. Can be soaked and wet formed.Can be carved, tooled, embossed...give more possibilities to your handwork.
--The grain also has breath ability, resulting in less moisture from prolonged contact. Rather than wearing out, it develops a patina during its expected useful lifetime.
-- The waxed bull vegetable tanned leather is slightly firm,pliable and smooth,the surface of leather has been sealed wax treatment, so it looks more smooth,beautiful. it works great in making wallets, bags, cases, holster, knife sheaths, wristbands and other various handcraft projects.
--WATER can help sealing the edge. With this consistent leather, you can wet the edge before burnishing without applying dye, paint, coat nor CMC.

Color Variation Notice
Actual colors may differ from product photos due to different production batches, monitorsettings, and lighting conditions.
Color variations may also occur on different parts of the same hide. This is because the tightness, fiber density, and thickness vary across different sections of the leather, leading to slight differences in dye absorption during the tanning process.
Light-colored collections such as Berlin Blue and Mint Blue are highly challenging to dye evenly, Their hues will gradually turn slightly gray with wear and are more prone to color variations. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the natural color -changing properties of light-toned leather before purchase.
Please understand that natural materials and safe vegetable-tanning process can not achieve 100% color uniformity. Given the high production and after-sales costs, we kindly ask you to consider your purchase carefully. Feel free to contact us anytime if you have questions.

3 Reasons why they has uneven color after thinning:
1, Penetration problem. When dyeing thick leather, it is difficultfor the dye to evenly penetrate the entire layer;
2, Change in fiber structure. Thinning will expose leather layers of different densities;
3, Degree treatment of leather surface and middle part is different.

Some dark leathers may have uneven colors.this is a natural phenomenon, and it does not look obvious in actual product , please don't order the dark color if you mind.
About the Defect

About Milkshake White Leather
Milkshake White uses a semi-vegetable tanning process. To achieve a whiter and purer color and control the depth of discoloration, the amount of vegetable tanning agents used in the tanning process is reduced. It is an environmentally friendly, chrome-free tanning process that combines chrome tanning and full vegetable tanning techniques. It is moldable and will change color over time. Its water absorption and the depth of color change will be slightly lower than other full vegetable-tanned leathers.
